Summary:

Gira Musical por el mundo hispánico is a collection of 16 beloved musical national treasures well known and practically engraved upon the hearts of citizens and ex-patriots alike from Latin America. Many of these songs are considered to be the unofficial national anthems of their representative countries.

Each song:

• is beautiful or lively.
• includes a "lectura" that delves into a cultural aspect of that country.
• has interesting and possibly useable (in the classroom context) vocabulary.
  
• is well known by every resident of that representative country, young and old, among all musical genre fans.
• has lyrics appropriate for use in schools.

NOTE: As most of these songs are copyrighted, permission has been secured to use and reproduce these songs.

Each song includes:

• Letra de la canción (complete lyrics)
• Para escuchar y escribir (guide for listening to the song)
• Ejercicios (written exercises which vary from song to song)
• Lectura (in Spanish - a reading selection that focuses on some aspect of the song, culture or country of origin)
