Summary:

This beautiful heirloom book celebrates Latin American Christmas traditions, including carols and their lyrics, prayers, stories and art in both English and Spanish. The holiday traditions of 24 Spanish-speaking countries are explored and 12 of the most beloved and well-known carols are presented on the accompanying CD. 

As people come together to celebrate Christmas, this guide brings back memories of “home” and childhood, as it teaches younger generations about the message of Christmas in the spirit of their ancestors. Non-Latino individuals and students of Spanish will also enjoy this book; as they sings along, they will see the common threads in the ways we all celebrate Christmas and share the spirit of Christmas throughout the world. 

The CD features 12 beautifully rendered songs sung by solos, duets and ensembles with  orchestral accompaniment.  These are followed by instrumental tracks (without vocals) for each song, to facilitate group singing and/or accompaniments for Christmas programs.
